In a recent study, researchers found that, after searching for similar patterns in behavior and calculating mean changes in BMI for the groups, that people who do not eat breakfast were at an icreased risk of developing obesity and obesity related diseases. On teh otherhand, if you consume a big breakfst but do not snack between meals and eat less food throughout the day, that people are more likely to lose weight over the long haul.  The results of the study do not necessarily apply the same because in the study, the people tested eat breakfast everyday, whereas the majority of people do not. Also, only a small percentage of the participants have diabetes, whereas 20% of the general population has the disease.
