People that are dealing with an addiction are turning to a plant called kratom in order to wean themselves off of their addiction.  The plant is not regulated and there has not been a lot of research done on the potential of the plant to help people who have drug issues. This plant is a very amazing thing that many people are interested in.<\/p>\n<p id=\"takeawayheader\">Key Takeaways:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"takeaways\">\n<li id=\"takeaway1\">Many people begin using narcotic drugs legally as a prescription from their doctor for legitimate pain or issues.  Unfortunately, this can lead to addiction and abuse of these prescription drugs.<\/li>\n<li id=\"takeaway2\">It is easy to build a quick tolerance and addiction to opiate drugs.  This causes the person taking them to seek out larger doses so they will not become physically ill.<\/li>\n<li id=\"takeaway3\">Kratom is an herb used to help for withdrawal from substance abuse and for pain. It is from Southeast Asia.  It is banned in six states in the U.S. but can be helpful for people.
