Because they are low in fat and rich in protein, fish is recommended as a staple of a healthy diet. But which is better for you, fresh fish or fish that you buy in a can? This New York Times article takes an in-depth look at that very question and the answers are surprising. For instance, canned fish likely contains less mercury than fresh fish, but more sodium.
