The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention predicts this year’s flu season will be worse than last year’s. Washington state, Idaho, California, Oregon, and parts of the mid-Atlantic states and the northeast have been the hardest hit areas so far, according to the CDC’s report. Flu kills 4000 to 5000 people in the U.S. each year, and strikes young children and older adults the hardest. It’s not too late to get a flu shot, however.
