Aspartame can cause some terrible side effects for it being an artificial sweetener. It can be found in a variety of foods such as wellness products like gum, diet soda, candy, and vitamins. Some of the risks of consuming aspartame include the potential increase risk of cancer. Studies have linked the risk of cancers include liver, lung, brain, breast, and prostate. Aspartame can also induce or worsen diabetes, increase the risk of heart disease and stroke, and can worsen or trigger mood disorders.
