Cold remedies: What works, what doesn’t, what can’t hurt

There are a number of cold remedies that can help to alleviate the suffering people experience when suffering from a cold. Some of these include rest, staying hydrated, saline nose spray. These may not help to shorten or cure a cold. Sometimes, over the counter remedies help to ease suffering.
One thing is also certain: Antibiotics will not help to get over a cold.
