There is a shortage of bee, wasp and venom extracts and it has people concerned. The extracts help people that have serious allergies to one of these insects. It is given to patients in shots and it helps build up a tolerance to the stings. There have been manufacturing issues with the companies that provide these extracts, and as a result there is a 35 percent decrease in the extract. The shortage is expected to continue through the Summer.
