Skin problems – Its antiseptic, antibacterial and anti stringent properties make it suitable in treatment of acne, wrinkles, cuts, bruises and blemishes.

Hemorrhoids –  It has been studied that the chemicals like tannin and Flavonoids in Witch Hazel may help in treating damage blood vessels that cause hemorrhoids.

Diarrhea and Dysentery – It is beneficial in treatment of dysentery, stomach flu, irritable bowel syndrome among other intestinal illness.

Bruises and sprains – It is used as a home remedy to treat bruises, painful joints and inflamed skin parts as well as sprains. It is applied directly onto the affected area daily to make the skin heal up.

Sore gums, Laryngitis and sore throat – Its antiseptic anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties make it suitable in curing inflamed and sore parts.

Diaper Rash – Here, this plant has been helpful in treating and preventing minor diaper rashes for along time. It has also been studied that it helps in the treatment of varicose veins. Its multipurpose nature has made it to be preferred by many who have experienced skin problems.
