Link Between low Vitamin D and Alzheimer’s Risk

Decreasing levels of Vitamin D in the diet of the US population are associated with increased levels of Alzheimer’s disease. The doctors who are the authors of this study have used a large group of subjects, over 34,000, to show a causal relationship between Alzheimer’s disease and insufficient levels of Vitamin D. It leads to the belief that supplementing Vitamin D in a person’s diet can reduce the likelihood and the effects of Alzheimer’s disease.
