If you’re most common answer to the question “How are you?” is “Busy,” you’re probably under a great deal of stress. The fact of the matter is the economy is in a strong as it used to be and there’s added pressure on workers in virtually every industry to succeed or face the uncertainty of unemployment. And, all that stress has the effect of causing many of us to develop unhealthy habits. For example instead of taking the time to prepare a healthy and satisfying meal, you convince yourself that grabbing some greasy fast food just this once is okay because all the pressure you’re under. Although the ability to focus on two completely different tasks at the same time sounds great, it’s actually not something the human brain is capable of doing very well.
