Is Skipping Breakfast All that Bad?

April 20, 2016 By Corey B

As you may know, it is not a good idea to skip breakfast because it is often linked with gaining weight. Well, according to today’s article from Mark’s Daily Apple, it is okay to skip breakfast without gaining weight (for some people). Many people think many negative things about skipping diets. A popular belief is that skipping breakfast causes your metabolism to actually weaken. According to a study on fasting, when a person fasts for 72 hours their metabolism drops only a mere eight percent. Comparing 72 hours to just one meal of the day does not really compare. Being able to skip breakfast also comes down the person. Depending on their eating habits as well as exercise habits, skipping breakfast may not have a negative effect. For example, someone who exercises regularly and eats relatively healthy may not be affected by skipping breakfast compared to someone who does not exercise and eats unhealthy foods. At the end of the day, whether you skip or eat breakfast really depends on the kind of person you are. The article suggests that eat or skip depending on how you feel. If you are not hungry then don’t eat. If you are hungry, then eat. It’s as simple as that. For more details on skipping breakfast read the full article down below.
