In Liza Fogarty’s article relating to migraines, she speaks of migraines’ relationship with not getting the proper vitamins we need. She speaks about the grandeur effect that migraines have and how they make simple headaches look small. In addition she explains the process of getting a migraines and one of the contributors can be a bad diet. In addition using vitamins can help prevent these as they play a role in keeping your brain in proper function.

Key Takeaways:

  • even mild deficiencies in three vitamins were cited as migraine culprits: Vitamin D, riboflavin (B-2) and coenzyme Q10
  • If you’re taking supplements to decrease migraines, Teitelbaum advises making sure that your multivitamin has at least 75 mg of vitamin B2 (riboflavin), 1000 units of vitamin D and 200 mg of magnesium.
  • Not all migraine solutions can be solved through dietary changes.

“Unlike ordinary awful headaches, which usually respond to Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen, migraines (which affect one in four women) feel like they last a lifetime and can be downright debilitating.”
