Irritable bowel syndrome can cause bloating and other stomach issues and it also can cause weight gain too. IBS can lead to a person getting depressed or having an anxiety spell which typically causes people to overeat. People who experience IBS also have issues with bloating and some people can relieve bloating by eating food. Finally, hormones in our body which can change our weight are affected greatly by IBS as they are always changing. If you experience weight gain because of IBS make both dietary and lifestyle changes to offset it.
