If you are over 40 You May Be Taking This Dangerous Drug

November 15, 2015 By Corey B

The heart pumps blood to supply oxygen throughout the body. When it moves through the blood vessels, it exerts force against the sides of the walls of the blood vessels. This force with which the blood is gushing is the blood pressure. If blood puts in extra force, the blood pressure is said to be high. The ideal blood pressure for a person is 120 over 80. If it is above the level we need to reduce. Following a healthy lifestyle is important to achieve the normal level.

The dangers of having blood pressure

The disorder of having a high blood pressure will silently kill the person as in some cases it does not show any symptom. If High Blood pressure is left untreated, it may lead to severe damage to the heart and coronary arteries, stroke, memory loss, angina, peripheral artery disease, vision loss, etc.

Dangers of high blood pressure medications

Generally, diuretics, alpha and beta blockers, ACE inhibitors, calcium channel blockers and dilators are prescribed for high blood pressure. But some of the drugs with these components culminate in cancer, liver damage, stroke and heart attack. Moreover, numerous side effects have been reported when consuming of the drugs prescribed for high blood pressure. Some of them are drowsiness, dizziness caused by alpha blockers, stomach upset, headaches, dehydration caused by diuretics, constipation, etc.

The Role of Beet Root

There is no better food than beet root to maintain a good cardio health. Beet roots are high in natural nitrates. The saliva converts nitrates into nitrites and when it passes through the gut, it will get converted to nitric oxide. The body absorbs the nitrate from the beet root and converts to nitrite, the precursor to nitric oxide. Nitric oxide helps in maintaining a good heart. The molecules of Nitric oxide dilate the arteries in a natural way, thus increasing the blood flow and regulates the pressure. It has been found out that nitric oxide is as important as oxygen to humans.

Beetroot

Nitric oxide is a powerful vasodilator and it makes the heart pump with endurance. Nitric oxide is destroyed in the body very soon. It increases blood flow to the muscles, thus helping mitochondria produce energy easier. Nitric oxide also “de -stiffened” blood vessels, thus making the workload of the heart easier.

Beet roots are good sources of antioxidants, fiber, vitamin C, potassium and folate. The nitrates in the beet root which convert to nitric oxide on consumption, becomes a very important element in maintaining the health of every organ and cell in the body. It vasodilates the blood vessels and enhances oxygen and blood flow all over the body. A normal beet root contains 20 times the dietary nitrates than any other vegetable source of nitrate. Recently it has been discovered that nitric oxide can be generated from the digestion of dietary nitrates.

The significant benefits of consuming beet roots juice or supplements include lowering of high blood pressure and elevation of low blood pressure, maintaining of cardio health, inhibition of the formation of cancer causing cells, increased bowel movements, and relaxation of mind and detoxification of the liver.
