Do You Know The Asian Secret For Longevity?

February 8, 2017 By Corey B

When it comes to Asia, most of us have an idea of a land full of colorful traditions, spirituality and wisdom. But among the wisdom and tradition lies a very important ingredient that makes Asia truly remarkable – the species. Turmeric is one of those remarkable spices, and it has proven to be the most powerful natural remedy for preventing and curing countless illnesses.

Benefits of Turmeric

  • Antidepressant – In a study published by Phytotherapy Research, turmeric has been proven to be as powerful as Prozac in treating manic depression. Taking into consideration that Prozac and many other pharmaceutical drugs have many potential adverse side effects, such as digestive issues, headaches and symptoms of lethargy, taking turmeric is a much healthier and more natural option for treating mental disturbances. It’s also much cheaper and tastes better!
  • Anti-inflammatory – The healing compound curcumin is one of the best anti-inflammatory compounds on the planet, and a renowned study published by the Oncogene journal only proved what the Asian folk have known for thousands of years. Considering the fact that many modern diseases such as cancer, arthritis, ulcerative colitis and sinus problems are a result of chronic inflammation, turmeric is a natural herb that can make a drastic change in preventing such conditions from occurring.
  • Diabetes Treatment – Although turmeric is not able to completely cure diabetes, its regular consumption is a great way to lower blood sugar and reverse insulin resistance. Due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, turmeric can drastically reduce the chance of diabetes complications which can lead to the damage of blood vessels and blindness.

There are many other benefits that regular consumption of turmeric is able to produce, such as improved digestion and respiratory system, lowered cholesterol and a lowered risk of infections. All of these are a good enough reason to make turmeric a staple ingredient in your diet.
