It is quite disheartening to hear that along with Sargento taking part in a recall of some of their cheeses due to a Listeria problem, there are numerous other cheeses that were supplied by the same supplier – Deutsch Kase Haus. These cheeses are not being named, so they are not going through any recall. The FDA has not been transparent about what brands of cheeses those are, except it is known that the supplier does send cheese to other companies. Due to confidentiality, the FDA is not saying who they are, leaving it up to the customer to take a risk and buy a cheese product, hoping that it is not contaminated.
