Magnesium can lower blood pressure, decrease risk for heat disease

July 12, 2017 By Darrell Miller

With everybody’s busy lives, its hard to eat healthy and keep track of what you eat. A dietitian, Angie Tillman, says that one thing people never get enough of is magnesium. It’s very essential because it helps with our neurotransmitter functions.People don’t get enough magnesium but one way they can start getting more is by eating leafy greens, pumpkin seeds, or avocados. Just by making an effort to eat these things can have a great impact and it can greatly influence your body’s natural processes.

Key Takeaways:

  • In the fast-paced world in which we live, it can be tough to get enough vitamins and minerals. Often, the foods we eat each day are based on convenience, not quality
  • Even if you try really hard each day to eat right, or if you take a multivitamin to supplement your diet, you still may not be getting the appropriate amount of vitamins and minerals your body needs.
  • “Even if you can’t hit those recommended daily allowances, simply making an effort to consume a little more magnesium each day will help your body’s natural processes to keep doing what they do

“The best way to increase your magnesium intake is by consuming foods that are higher in magnesium”
