Westpark Elementary School of Fort Worth ‘s students will now be offered healthier lunches. A salad bar was installed in the school’s cafeteria on March 22. Fort Worth plans to install four more salad bars in other schools this year. Fort Worth mayor Betsy Price reports that healthy kids are better students and have a less risk of becoming sick and missing school. Children presented with a variety of fruit and vegetable choices tend to eat more fruits and vegetables , salad bars help these children choose to eat healthier.
