June 29, 2021 By Darrell Miller

New research suggests that having low vitamin D levels is linked to having poor cardiovascular health. This can lead you to having a greater risk of stroke and heart attack. Some races may not be able to get all of their vitamin D from food and from the sun because of their darker skin and should consider supplements. if you vitamin D levels are low, then food alone won’t be enough. You will have to supplement your diet with some additional vitamin D.

Key Takeaways:

  • In the wake of a worldwide pandemic it gets easy to forget about other health issues. Heart disease worldwide has reached a point where data shows it affects a third of the global population.
  • One vitamin, or rather lack of, has been linked with an array of cardiac issues. That’s the news from study findings presented to the American College of Cardiology.
  • The vitamin that seems singularly necessary for best cardiac condition in humans is vitamin D. The news comes from a study by the intermountain Medical Center Heart Institute of Salt Lake City.

“Higher risk of stroke, heart issues, and cardiac events seem to correlate with low levels of a specific vitamin D component as well as deficient overall levels.”
