The National Intelligence Council warns that use of genetic engineering to modify human anatomy will cause so many differences between peoples of varied nations that it will be hard to find a common ground. Especially when some nations are able to perform germ line modifications that can enhance a forming embryo. Different countries allow various levels of technologies to be used and the UN currently will not take a stance despite warnings from biotech groups
