The benefits of walnuts include slowing down prostate cancer

November 13, 2019 By Darrell Miller

Although it often is the recipient of bad press, fats, as data is showing us more and more, are an essential part of the human diet, without which the heart and brain could not adequately function. New data, emerging from California, is showing that walnuts in particular have a part to play as a member of the positive fats brigade. This emerging data links the snack food favorite to lower levels of cholesterol, improved glucose tolerance and a lessened tendency towards a number of cancers, including prostate. It’s been reasonably proposed that the first two benefits directly affect the third. Lower cholesterol and a lessened tendency towards diabetes are both positive indicators for avoiding cancer.

Key Takeaways:

  • Nuts are a very healthy option for men and women to eat, as they are high in things good for you.
  • Walnuts can reduce your risk of cancer, as they contain substances that work to keep you healthy.
  • Science tells us that we should eat more unprocessed foods, and walnuts are a great option for doing so.

“Healthy fats, like those found in walnuts, are essential for brain and heart function plus improved nutrient absorption.”
