In order to lose weight, a person needs to maintain a diet that is heavy on foods that are nutritious and filling an extremely light in food that are full of empty calories and have little to no nutritional value. While maintaining such a diet is simple in theory, it’s considered more difficult in practice. One big reason for that difficulty is that after spending all day at a demanding job, it’s hard to summon the will to prepare a nutritious and flavorful meal at night. Additionally, the prevalence of fast food restaurants across the country makes it very easy to fall off the healthy eating wagon.

One way to avoid that particular pitfall is to ensure you have all the ingredients for a few easy to make and extremely flavorful meals on hand at all times. As this Greatist article notes, by having a number of chicken breasts in your refrigerator, you can quickly prepare a variety of protein-rich dishes with very distinct flavor profiles. You can start your week off with an Asian style meal made with soy sauce and sesame seeds. The following night, you could prepare a scrumptious chicken enchilada dinner. Later in the week, you could have a breaded lemon chicken dish that would have a completely different texture than everything else you ate that week. The piece is just full of similarly nutritious and delicious dinner options.
