Vitamin D deficiency may be a larger problem than some people realize. Unfortunately, many of the signs don’t occur until it’s too late. Your Vit D level isn’t part of a normal physical, so you have to ask for it, but the ideal level is between 30-100 ng/mL. Sun exposure for about 10 minutes a day should be enough to get your ideal level of Vit D, though if you have darker skin, you may need to increase this time. This also holds for people who live in a colder climate. Don’t get too much Vit D either!
