Cardio is a great form of exercise that improves your lung capacity and helps boost your metabolism. Most forms of cardiovascular training are very intense and can be harder to perform for those who have joint pains or cannot handle the amount of intensity.

So, how else can someone get in a good cardiovascular workout without the intensity? In today’s article is a list of five non running cardiovascular exercises that can be done by anyone. First exercise is walking. Walking is a low impact exercise that is easy on the joints, but still has the benefits of running. Simply walk for around thirty minutes at a medium pace and you will get all the full benefits.

Second exercise is swimming. Swimming is another low impact exercise that is also easy on the joints. Swimming is great for burning a lot of calories which will help you lose weight while improving your lung capacity. The third exercise is the elliptical machine. The elliptical gives you a fluid range of motion meaning that it is also easy on the joints.
