One of the leading causes of disabilities in older people is a bone fracture. A new study has proven Magnesium’s role in maintains bone health and preventing fractures. Researchers at the Universities of Bristol and Eastern Finland found that men with lower serum Magnesium were more prone to bone fractures, particularly those of the hip. Elderly people with gut issues or on certain medications may not be getting enough Magnesium from their diets, this study suggests that it is important to take magnesium in that age group.
