As we age, it becomes frustratingly easy to do things that will cause us to feel aches and pains. Whereas doing things like participating in a friendly game of flag football or spending the day doing yard work left us feeling tired in our yonger years, they can now leave us with inflamed joints, strained muscles and radiating pain throughout the body. When most people encounter those kinds of maladies, they reach for the nearest bottle of over-the-counter pain reliever. Unfortunately, many of those medications can cause stomach discomfort and they lose their potency over time.

The next time you strained a muscle catching a pass or digging up your garden, you might want to consider taking an all-natural pain reliever. There are many herbal extracts and vitamin supplements that can relieve muscle and joint pain and reduce inflammation without the side effects that come with taking certain over-the-counter pain relievers. For instance, turmeric has incredible anti-inflammatory properties. Burdock root has long been known for its ability to alleviate joint pain. Willow bark has been used as a treatment for headaches since antiquity. And ginger is now being studied as a possible replacement for medicines like ibuprofen because of its powerful natural anti-inflammatory properties. Click on the link below to learn about other all-natural pain relievers.
