A study was done on people 65-77 years of age, and the findings were that those who drank concentrated blueberry juice every day showed better brain function. The different things they showed to be improving in were cognitive function, blood flow to the brain and activation of the brain while doing cognitive tests, and possibly improving the memory. Flavonoids are in blueberries which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It appears you have to drink 30 ml daily for 12 weeks to see improvement in healthy older adults.
