Many people will buy organic food because it is supposed to be better for them. However, not all countries hold their organic food to the same standard as the U.S. China, for example, has much lower standards for what makes food organic. Activists state that there is no true system in place in China to grade organic foods. This allows them to circumvent the U.S. Customs inspections policy, but does not necessarily make the foods good for us. In cases when it was organically grown, the water used may have been below standard.
