It turns out that gene editing for designer babies is very unlikely. There is a fear that embryo modification could allow parents to custom order a baby. Science has been getting better and better ad messing with the human embryo. There was an international tam of scientists in Oregon that had successfully altered the DNA of human embryos and that has made a lot of people afraid that human babies will one day be designed.
