The ocean around Bermuda attracts tourists from all over the world to it’s crystal clear blue waters, but there is something that tourist need to know. Recently at the Goldschmidt geochemistry conference. It was revealed that iodine with radio active properties released from France in the UK have reached the ocean waters around Bermuda. The iodine has been released to track ocean currents however it’s radio active properties can be dangerous to the public and has a half-life of 16 million years.
