A newly published study suggest that England could prevent or delay as many as 7,200 deaths over the course of five years by banning the use of trans fats in processed foods. As trans fats are commonly used to preserve popular snacks like potato chips and TV dinners, a total ban seems like it would be unfeasible, but the researchers argue that if the English government were to act decisively, it could be done.
