Top 10 Pain-Triggering Foods

February 8, 2018 By Darrell Miller

You wouldn’t think food would inflict pain, but anyone who has an inflammatory disease, knows that some foods will cause flareups in their disease. Dairy is one of the easy culprits. While it is generally seen as safe, often we cannot process the lactose and causes bloating and flatulence. Same with gluten. Not everyone can process it the same and often we get an inflammatory response. Alcohol, meat, sugar, and caffeine are all on this list for the same reason, in how our body reacts to it, and even in how they aren’t 100% natural for us to take in.

Key Takeaways:

  • Inflammation does not help with your diet or disease in your body. Leaky guts is a main cause of pain in your body.
  • Your immune system can help impact your diet and control pain in your body.
  • Soy can increase a leaky gut and cause pain in your body as well as joint pain.

“Identifying your trigger foods through medical testing or an elimination diet can be a powerful way to reduce chronic pain and promote better health.”
