So who says eating right and building muscle is something only those young kids do in the gym? Whatever your age, it really doesn’t matter, working out and staying fit is important.
This is especially true if we do find ourselves a bit more, shall we say, seasoned. The more muscle mass and tone we have on our bodies, the easier it will be for us as we enjoy even more seasons in life.
So what can you do to help with that? One thing is moving. Moving in general. The more we move, the healthier we are. This can be from anything like walking to doing yoga to jogging (and for a bit of inspiration, take a look at Spirit of the Marathon, where you will meet one runner who enjoys doing marathons well past his 60s).
Another thing you can do is eat right. We sometimes think that a calorie is a calorie, and it really doesn’t matter where it comes from. However, this could not be further from the truth. The type of calories we put in our bodies are also essential to our fitness. We need to eat clean fruits, lean meats, and lots of veggies.
