Advil, Tylenol and other over-the-counter painkillers come with risks

While medications like Tylenol and Advil are about as easy to buy as a carton of milk, many people may be unaware of their potential risks. Are the pills we keep so close-at-hand really as harmless as we think? New studies by Danish researchers suggest an increased risk of cardiac arrest associated with ibuprofen (the active ingredient in Advil) and Tylenol has been shown to increase risk of liver damage if taken in higher-than-recommended doses.
