I don’t think this is a credible research on the study of depression. Having IBS is a lifestyle issue that causes psychological effects that can lead to bouts of depression. The little snippet about the bacteria being good for the brain was the only credible piece that tied into the arguement based in the title. If a new drug came out that wasn’t a probiotic, but toned down the symptoms of IBS, would a new article say that this new drug cures depression? I don’t believe there was enough research to justify printing this, and it should note that it is the IBS that causes depression, and weakening the issues causing IBS can lead to a lower risk of depression.
