Scientists are beginning to conduct new research into the link between high cholesterol and osteoarthritis, as well as a potential therapy. Mitochondrion targeting antioxidant therapy drugs were given to animals in the study that developed cholesterol linked osteoarthritis, as well as drugs to lower cholesterol levels. The results showed marked improvement among this group.
