Emerging information from researches in the United Kingdom suggests that magnesium plays a large role in bone strength: if you have too little magnesium, you risk bone fractures, whereas high levels of magnesium may actually strengthen bone health.
This comes as important news to many, particularly older adults who risk falling and breaking a bone. In fact, annually more than 6 million Americans will break a bone, with 75% of fractures happening in older adults.
If these findings are accurate, those at risk of fractures can take magnesium supplements or make changes to their diet to naturally increase the level of magnesium in their blood, and potentially save them from a future injury.
