Reduce Inflammation Pain With Curcumin

June 8, 2017 By Corey B

Turmeric is a yellow, bright colored spice which is extensively used in Asian cooking. Curcumin is an active ingredient which is present in turmeric. It is used as an anti-oxidant and it also demonstrates several other anti-inflammatory properties against physical conditions like muscle spasms, arthritis and other relevant injuries. On top of this, turmeric also prevents and slows down the growth of cancer, protects against liver ailments and reduces the symptoms of several digestive conditions like issues in the bowel movement and so on.

How Curcumin Reduces Pain

Inflammation pain occurs when the white blood cells and chemicals of your system can no longer protect you against the foreign elements like the deadly viruses and bacteria. All of us require at least some level of inflammation in our system for staying fit and healthy. However, there is also an extensive possibility for the inflammatory response to get out of our control.

If the immune system of your body somehow happens to trigger an inflammatory response without the presence of any threat, it can eventually lead to persistent inflammation. This is a condition closely associated with allergies, asthma, heart ailments and auto-immune ailments depending on the specific organs that have been impacted by inflammation.

The inflammatory processes of your system might also lead to irritation of several tissues. This can be characterized by the persistent pain, swelling and redness. There might also be sudden surge of heat or hot flashes.

The anti inflammatory effects of curcumin play a vital role in reducing these symptoms. A recent study has revealed that osteoarthritis patients who add about 200 mg of curcumin to their treatment regime experience relatively less pain and better mobility. At the same time, the group of individuals who did not receive curcumin did not experience any major improvement.

Other relevant research has further proved that turmeric extracts that contain curcumonoids block other inflammatory pathways. This in turn prevents the effects of a protein which is likely to trigger your pain and swelling.
