New research now indicated that eating diets high in soy protein has similar effects that consuming dairy does on bone density. The study shows that when soy proteins are applied to rats at an early age, the soy proteins increase the density of the bone, which helps stave off osteoporosis later on in life. These effects are similar to the calcium and protein found in dairy.
Soy protein early in life may help prevent bone loss in adulthood
