However, recent research has discovered that pesticides are contaminating ground water and earth and are causing a wide variety of illness and ailments as well as making the ground unable to be used to grow crops again. Farmers are now learning that there are healthy, non environmental impacting ways to protect to crops and maintain yields that are safe to consume, such as using organic compounds and insects to prey on pests.
