When Everyone is Feeling Stressed, Ease Your Stress Naturally with Magnesium

March 29, 2018 By Darrell Miller

Have you ever wished there was a natural way to relieve your stress? It may surprise you to learn that magnesium can help to ease your stress! The physical, emotional, and mental strain that stress puts on your mind and body can be absolutely exhausting. Making sure your levels are where they need to be can help you combat stress before it even begins. It has been shown in studies that this deficiency can contribute to a number of stress-induced health issues.

When you are under stress, it creates stress hormones that are released throughout your body. Your muscles tighten, you become anxious, and you can even become irritable. Boosting your body’s magnesium level will help you eliminate stress. It works to naturally regulate your nervous system while acting as a filter and blocking stress hormones from even entering your brain.

The average adult only gets about 70% of their recommended daily amount of magnesium. Adding foods like spinach, quinoa, almonds, and peanuts to your daily diet will help increase that percentage for you. Taking Epsom salt baths is a great way to boost your percentage as well. You can eliminate stress two ways with this method, because soaking in a hot bath can be relaxing in and of itself.

Supplements are another great option. You will want to make sure to choose a high quality supplement. The cheaper, grocery store brands can contain fillers that your body is not able to digest. Taking quality supplements daily will ensure your levels are where they need to be. Your body will be able to effectively fight off stress, which will help you feel much more relaxed.

Stress can take a real toll on your body. It can affect your thoughts, your emotions, your sleep, and even your health. By taking extra steps to ensure your magnesium levels are where they need to be, you will be giving your body the tools it needs to fight off stress before it becomes a problem.
