Ginger can be used to treat symptoms that stem from irritable bowel syndrome. There is no cure for IBS so you will need to make lifestyle and dietary changes in order to offset the symptoms. Ginger has been known to reduce intestinal cramping, reduce gas and bloating and also prevent indigestion. There isn’t a set dosage for people to take when it comes to ginger but most studies give patients 1 or 2 grams. Finally, ginger has been tested in both humans and animals with great results.
