Experiencing Brain Fog? One Vitamin Can Help!

June 21, 2016 By Corey B

The human body produces natural fluids and amino acids. One such natural form of amino acid is homocysteine. It actually forms due to the process of methylation. But you should know that there should be a balance in the level of the hemocysteine produced other wise it can lead to some serious health diseases like which affects the brain, causes Alzheimer, and cardiovascular diseases. Increased levels of homocysteine is mostly due to the inadequacy of vitamin B6 , vitamin B12, and folic acid.

How does homocysteine affect the brain?

First you should know that a homocysteine level in the blood plasma rises only when a person consumes an unhealthy diet. Additionally those who live a sedentary lifestyle and prone to take more beverages like coffee, alcohol. Even people addicted to smoking also develop the condition. It is also observed that a group of prescriptive medicines also escalates the problem.

You should know that the intricate homocysteine mechanism completely damages the cell due to the lack of the necessary vitamins. Now the oxygen present in the cells is harming the free radicals. As a result, it oxidizes the low density lipoproteins. Then it produces the oxidized proteins and fats and the oxy- cholestrols. It also hampers the level of oxidation which leads to severe changes in the metabolism of the nitric oxide. Thus, it leads to affect the nervous system. Mostly, it causes impaired neurological condition. Additionally, it causes Alzheimer’s disease which  leads to the lack of concentration. At times, it also triggers memory and migraine problem as well.

Vitamin B12: Reduces Brain Fog

The term brain fog is coined to describe mental confusion, forgetfulness, lack of accuracy, and lack of concentration. It is a state when the brain cannot register the common occurrence and leads to a foggy mental disposition. Mostly foods with preservatives, high sugary foods, low fat foods, deficiency in vitamin B12 , Vitamin D exaggerate the problem.

However, vitamin supplements are quite essential to recover from the problem. Once you start taking B12 obviously you will observe that the coenzyme becomes active. Additionally it balances the homocysteine, thus reduces toxicity. At the same time, it proactively supports the neuronal system. It is better to consume methyl contained B12 as it fortifies the brain cell. And also protects the tissues in the brain. Apart from this, it also leads to the development of the red blood cells.

Thus, make sure to have the B12 on a regular basis. As it helps to form the chemicals in the brain which is when used by the nerves for communication. Apart from that it also renders the normal functioning of the nerves in the brain as well.

Definitely it is essential to take vitamin B12. You should also try to live a composed life, take proper diets. At the same time, try to get enough sleep which is also necessary to reduce brain fog. Remember adding B12 is indeed an essential step. But along with that you need to treat the problem like brain fog in order to prevent any temporary or permanent damage to the nervous system.
