Irrefutable evidence proves that honey and bee pollen improve menopausal symptoms in breast cancer patients

September 18, 2018 By Darrell Miller

New research suggests that both honey and bee pollen extracts can reduce the traumatic menopause-like side effects caused by breast cancer drugs like tamoxifen and Arimidex. These symptoms can include severe hot flashes, hormonal chaos, extreme tiredness and other effects so severe that some women cannot keep taking them. Bee pollen extract and honey were both effective for most patients in the study, and appear to help balance estrogen levels. This suggests that both honey and bee pollen have great potential to help both women suffering from breast cancer drug side effects and healthy women dealing with normal menopause.

Key Takeaways:

  • Breast cancer patients have to deal with the fear of not surviving coupled with painful side effects from the treatments they are undergoing.
  • One study showed that bee pollen reduced hot flashes and other menopausal symptoms in healthy women.
  • Bee pollen and honey were both found to be effective in reducing menopausal side effects in women who were taking hormones to treat breast cancer.

“It might seem like it’s just an endless series of bad news when it comes to breast cancer, but a new study has found that there could be some help in the form of honey and bee pollen.”
