Is There Something To Help Prevent Constipation?

This can be a question that is really disturbing you .Constipation actually is a condition where your bowel movement becomes infrequent or difficult. Due to this irregularity in bowel movements it leads to difficulties in passing feces.When you have constipation you will experience symptoms such as pain, vomiting, abdominal pain, passing hard stools and having very few bowel movements. There are many causes of constipation among them include the following.

Causes of constipation related to diet

There are many causes of constipation that arise from a change in diet. They include drinking less water than the body requires for proper digestion. Taking less fiber in the diet where you may be taking food that does not have enough fiber hence making it difficult for your body to digest it efficiently .Change of a regular eating routine can also lead to constipation for example when traveling where it will be difficult to maintain your normal diet. Eating a lot of dairy products can also lead to constipation.
(dairy can cause cancer too)

Causes due to drugs

There are other drugs that are known to cause constipation. For example drugs such as antidepressants, narcotics, iron pills and antacid medicines especially those that contain calcium .In case you are faced with constipation you should try and check on the drugs that you are using.

Diseases in your body

There are diseases that you may be suffering from and they lead you into experiencing constipation. They include diseases such as colon cancer and Parkinson’s disease. Different conditions such as being stressed and pregnancy can also lead to the condition.

Laxatives to constipation include the following:-

  • Drinking a lot of water
  • Drinking warm liquids especially in the morning
  • Increasing the amount of vegetables and fruits in your diet
  • Eating bran cereal
  • Eating foods that are high in fiber
  • Take Herbs Like: Senna and Cascara
