According to a just-released study, adopting a low glycemic diet in exchange for one higher in glucose. The study, conducted on mice, showed that the groups the mice were split into showed a wide disparity in the health benefits. The research team was also able to narrow down on the biomarkers that were present that are a predictor of any afflictions. As a result, hope exists that this research can be applied to help combat the onset of these age-related macular diseases.
