In the global war against childhood obesity, we may have a new weapon. While diets and exercise have failed, perhaps science can provide a new answer: prebiotics. New research has shown that the internal intestinal micro biome in that of the obese are markedly different from that of normal weight individuals. Based on a short study, powdered fibers mixed into water did in fact make some individuals lose weight. Perhaps with upcoming clinical trials, we can find out more about how this came to be.
