November 3, 2018 By Darrell Miller

Wine is considered to be the classy alcohol for the high ranking members of society. Also, purple grape juice is not as formal but they are similar in a couple of ways. First of all, both of these drinks have a high antioxidant activity and as a result, they are considered healthy.

Key Takeaways:

  • Because having antioxidants and drinking wine and grape juices containing antioxidants is good, researchers in the U.S set to study this.
  • The researchers studied the antioxidant levels that were found in three wines – Concord grape, pinot grigio and pinot noir.
  • It was decided that the Pinot noir wine had substantially more antioxidants than Concord grape wine and Pinot grigio wine.

“The purple and Concord grape juices had similar antioxidant levels and both had substantially greater antioxidants than the other wines examined. The white grape juice had low antioxidant content.”
