Although those with Asthma or COPD use steroid inhalers to help open their airways and improve breathing, a new study has shown that patients with bacterial infections in their lungs could develop a worse infection with inhaled steroid use. This is an alarming issue because lung infections of this type are hard to treat with conventional antibiotics. If these infections continue to worsen, they can lead to more severe illness that can lead to death.
