When people talk about cinnamon, they most likely think about it as a spice. We associate it with holiday season, baking and pies. Yet, cinnamon has important health benefits. It is rich in antioxidants which can provide similar effect to insulin. For runners, this is important because it speeds up the process of moving sugar to muscles, providing fuel for their body. Teaspoon a day is a quantity consider safe to be taken daily, but any smaller quantity will still provide some benefit.
